A Call to Be Free for God
To Seek union with God through prayer and penance and the total gift of self is the primary purpose of our life. At
the heart of our vocation are the hours spent in prayer, when our inner depths are called into God; into His Peace,
His Presence, His Holiness, His Divine Life. Prayer calls us to the generosity of Jesus and to share in the love He has
for His Father and the Church.
Although our life is basically contemplative, with the stress on silence and solitude, we have a healthy measure of
community life by which we are able to support and encourage one another on the path of holiness, and
communicate to each other the joy of living solely for God.
Our secondary purpose is to share the knowledge and love of God with others through two direct spiritual apostolate's:
the full evangelization of non-Catholics, and the helping of others to deepen in prayers and the spiritual life, especially
through spiritual direction and private retreats available primarily on the monastery grounds. These apostolate's are
an integral part of our life.
