Drawn equally by contemplative and apostolic ideals the Society of Our Mother of Peace
aims to combine and balance the basic elements of the contemplative life with the essential
features of the apostolic life.
Living in material simplicity and poverty, members dwell in separate hermitages or in a convent
building. Several hours daily of solitary prayer, along with the Liturgy in common, foster union
with God and zeal for evangelization of the unchurched and for helping people deepen their
spiritual life through private retreats and spiritual direction.
